In the spotlight

Every so now and then the Sheryl Lynn Foundation would like to put someone in the spotlight that is not one of our sponsors, but in some way did help to make the foundation grow! And we are very grateful for that.

This time we would like to put Aat Vink in the spotlight! The Sheryl Lynn Foundation is very lucky to count Aat Vink as one of her friends, as he is a very kind-hearted and fun person to be around, and of course a great artist!

The work of Aat Vink is filled with fantasy and can be recognized by its happy colours, with black lines as finishing touch. He makes his paintings by using a special technique, created by himself, colouring clay with oil-paint. His inspirations come from humurous situations out of daily life and he has added a touch of joy to the animal kingdom!

We would like to thank Aat for his amazing donation to SLF's lottery during our 2010 benefit event. As soon as he heard about the work of the Sheryl Lynn Foundation he was determined to support us and so he did, with this truly fantastic artwork. Many visitors of the event bought more lottery tickets to increase their chances of winning the painting on the picture, which really helped us a lot in raising money for our projects.

Simone Poot however was the lucky and very proud winner of this beautiful piece of art, worth €950,00! She sent us this picture of the painting in its new home, hanging proudly above the piano.

"I'm so happy with my new painting! It always makes me happy when I look at it," Simone told us.

Aat's work can be found in many galleries and is currently for sale (among others) in gallery Van Eijck on Witte de Withstraat. In August his work can also be admired in the same street inside Café de Witte Aap, once awarded as best bar in the world.
