CFCC in Cagbuhangin, Ormoc

RDII-Leyte, KFFN, SLF and two hardworking volunteers from Sweden and Denmark, Architect Jakob Gate & Project Manager Cecilie Wang, combined their efforts to realize a Child-Friendly Community Center in Cagbuhangin, Ormoc.

Upland Barangay Cagbuhangin in Ormoc is where 55 families from coastal areas were resettled through the efforts of UNDP after typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda. Through the neverending commitment of our local partner RDII-Leyte, Rural Development Initiatives of the Islands of Leyte, the wonderful fundraising efforts of KFFN, Kalayaan Fiesta Foundation in the Netherlands, and the kindness of Jakob & Cecilie, the Sheryl Lynn Foundation is now able to donate a much needed Child Friendly Community Center in Cagbuhangin. Correspondent Jhay Gaspar writes about the Groundbreaking Ceremony and other updates in this published article:

Thank you Jhay for supporting our work, not only in writing, but also in action!

Here's the latest update on this project, which was also shared on our FB page:
