Project Visits

During my stay in the Philippines I was lucky enough to visit the schools where SLF had succesfully finished her projects, together with SLF Project Manager Alejandro Paderes. During those visits I truly had the time of my life! Words can't describe the joy I felt, seeing with my own eyes the differences we all made through SLF as volunteers, supporters, donors & Goldmembers. The gratitude of these school children, teachers & parents was felt enormously and on this page you can also be part of this amazing journey by watching the photos & videos.
ENJOY and THANK YOU all so much for supporting SLF in her work!
Love, Sheryl Lynn Baas

1) VISIT STA. FE ITUM ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

My visit to Sta. Fe Itum Elementary School where SLF donated a school building for a teacher's office and washrooms for the children. SLF Project Manager Alejandro Paderes was accompanying me. The school teachers were very grateful and I had a great time visiting all the children in their class rooms!

2) VISIT TAG-OS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

My visit to Tag-Os Elementary School, where SLF has donated a School Activity Stage. These beautiful children all made flags in the color pink of the Sheryl Lynn Foundation to welcome us! The stage looks amazing and fits perfectly with the school. I had so much fun here and was honored to hear the pupils sing some great songs for me!

3) VISIT HITOOG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

My visit to Hitoog Elementary School, where SLF realized her biggest project: building a 3-classroom school for the pupils of Hitoog, Leyte. It was quite the climb, but hidden in the mountains lies Hitoog Elementary School: a treasure of warm teachers & school children, who were all so very grateful. It was a wonderful visit, where I got a beautiful thank you card from the head teacher and got to visit all the class rooms. The day ended with a lovely meal they prepared for us and many children escorted us on our way back to waive us goodbye!

4) VISIT SAN ISIDRO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (SIES)

My visit to San Isidro Elementary School (SIES) in Macrohon, Leyte. SLF donated school supplies for the pupils in school year 2011-2012 and 2012-2013. It was quite the adventure trying to reach the school, as it was located up in the mountains. The warmth of SIES can be felt all around; such kindhearted and dedicated teachers, parents & school children. We were showered with many beautiful performances, that I will treasure forever. We sang, we danced, we ate, we laughed and I was honored to have received a Certificate of Appreciation of the Department of Education of the Philippines. Thank you all for making this such a memorable visit!
